The MAPS reopening policy for in-person classes

In order for in-person classes to begin meeting in October 2021 the MAPS Board of Directors has adopted the following policy effective 9.13.21 (already passed). The Maryland Association forParkinson Support (MAPS) knows that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to present an unprecedented challenge. The virus is highly contagious and potentially deadly particularly with people who have a compromised immunity system. The best way to prevent infection and from spreading the disease is by being vaccinated. The COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be safe and effective. In order to protect the health and safety of all participants in any MAPS sponsored program all participants are required to be fully vaccinated before participating in any in-person gatherings and are required to provide proof of vaccination at the time of the in-person program. All participants in any MAPS sponsored program will also be required to wear masks during the in-person program. In order for in-person classes to begin meeting in October 2021 the MAPS Board of Directors has adopted the following policy effective 9.13.21. The Maryland Association forParkinson Support (MAPS) knows that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to present an unprecedented challenge.
